SCADA Sr. Controls Engineer

Chewy is seeking a seasoned and hands-on SCADA Sr. Controls Engineer to build out and lead our development of fulfillment center performance visibility. The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent communication and organizational skills with a technical depth of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. This individual will be responsible for the strategic implementation of SCADA programs that will aggregate to provide full Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness (OEE) of our fulfillment center operations, and automated alarming for processes for equipment and process exceptions. This individual supports the day-to-day business operations, mitigates risk, and minimizes operational downtime through the systems their team is responsible for developing. What you'll do:
The Sr. Controls Engineer will function as a SCADA system administrator who is responsible for the management and administration of all SCADA server equipment. Plans, implements, modifies, administers, and evaluates Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software and systems. Assists and advises users on major aspects of SCADA systems design, operating mode, system software and/or equipment. Assists technicians with the configuration and troubleshooting of wireless networks used for SCADA systems. Oversees protection of SCADA environment and ensures SCADA data security and integrity by establishing operational guidelines and controls including privacy, security, editing, validating and restart/recovery controls. Collaborates with outside vendors in the designing of database schemas to integrate SCADA systems with other system's database structures. Develops and modifies HMI/SCADA Systems, including 2D and 3D graphics creation, Tag Database generation, report development, computer setup and configuration, startup services including field setup and checkout, troubleshoot and operator training. Create and/or maintain servers, data storage equipment, network equipment, firewalls, operating systems and various utility programs. Works with technicians and controls engineers to troubleshoot communication/integration issues between Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and SCADA. What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience as a SCADA Engineer, Process Control Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls Systems Technician, or similarly related duties. 5
year of direct experience with SCADA development in fulfillment or manufacturing environments. Must have extensive PC hardware knowledge, with general computer maintenance capabilities. Must have experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting GE and/or Allen/Bradley/Rockwell Automation Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Windows Server Must have experience with ORACLE based systems and data mining using SQL Experience supporting and developing OPC and BACNET solutions Experience integrating SCADA systems across multiple sites is preferred. Experience data mining using SQL, Oracle, or similar Exceptional organizational and project management skills Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment Candidate must have an entrepreneurial and self-starting mentality and be able to deal with ambiguity Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays based on business support requirements. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
