Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a seasoned and hands-on Reliability Engineering Program Manager to develop and lead our mechanical preventative maintenance program. Key activities for this position include developing, owning, and driving maintenance reliability practices that will focus on supporting a world class reliability system. This role will also develop and implement training strategies to increase skill sets across our Chewy Technician workforce. The Reliability Engineering Program Manager will work to enhance our maintenance capabilities to deliver improved equipment reliability, decrease unscheduled repair and maintenance time, and develop strategies to drive lower maintenance costs. The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent communication and organizational skills with a technical depth of knowledge related to the mechanical aspects of automated sortation and robotics equipment. In addition developing the preventative maintenance program for sortation equipment, this role will have input into capital purchases based on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and total cost of ownership estimates. What you'll do:
Oversee the development and execution of the Chewy reliability program through our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Training Certification Program. Through analytical tools, work with internal stakeholders to identify equipment end of life (EOL) opportunities, required equipment and process upgrades and develop & manage long-term capital investment plans Develop equipment standards to eliminate hazards for operators and maintenance personnel required to maintain equipment performance Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifecycle Develop and maintain SME level knowledge for technology trends, safety and maintenance practices. Develop and drive clear business driven metrics to track asset and team performance Drive consistency of process, standards, and reporting across functional teams Provide leadership, mentorship, and support for field-based teams with the expansion and continuous improvement of Chewy's Fulfillment Network What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field of study with comparable work experience. 5
years of work experience in reliability risk identification and assessment from component to system level applying analytical, experimental, and statistical approaches to evaluate product design and manufacture quality/reliability levels Experience with proactive and effective reliability approaches in a cost-effective manner throughout product design, manufacture, and deployment phases of the product lifecycle. Experience with failure analysis activities and root cause analysis Ability in managing multiple qualification activities and development schedules Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional organizational and project management skills Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment Candidate must have an entrepreneurial and self-starting mentality and be able to deal with ambiguity Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% Chewy is committed to equal opportunity. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
