HR Benefits Clerk
This person must have working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Workers Comp and Short Term Disability. The ideal candidate will work with employees on benefits, the handling of teammate inquiries regarding payroll, teammate time and attendance, time off requests, off-cycle paychecks and special pay transactions. File all paperwork in teammate files and confidential files. Communicate company policies and practices (as appropriate) to supervisors and teammates. Organize special projects which may include, but are not limited to; annual holiday events, philanthropy assignments, health and wellness projects and events and job fairs. Must be a team player and be able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
A teammate in this position must:
o Have a High School Diploma, or GED.
o Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Be self-motivated and able to troubleshoot, identify issues and recommend solutions.
o Be able to meet deadlines and process financials with minimal errors.
o Be able to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
o Have strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel.
o Be well-organized and detail-oriented.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
